About this boat

This 1997 Krogen 48 Whaleback is listed at 53 ft in overall length and 17.33 ft in beam. Welcome aboard the Krogen 48 Whaleback, Dream Weaver, where the magic of the open sea meets the comfort of a home afloat. This remarkable vessel is the epitome of a full displacement trawler, thoughtfully crafted for liveaboard lifestyles or full-time cruising. With its beam-to-beam living spaces and panoramic pilothouse views, Dream Weaver is perfect for those who cherish the art of cruising or the serenity of living on the water. The Whaleback's single-level main deck redefines spaciousness and efficiency. It seamlessly integrates the aft deck, saloon, dining area, galley, office, three staterooms, and two heads—all on one level. This ergonomic design caters to a cruising couple, liveaboards, or even remote workers. Two of the three cabins feature private desk spaces alongside sleeping berths, offering the perfect blend of comfort and functionality. Unlike many Kadey-Krogens, the Whaleback distinguishes itself with a separate dining area and saloon area (two individual areas), enhancing the flexibility to enjoy individual spaces or combine them for entertaining. Perched on the upper deck, the expansive pilothouse promises breathtaking 360-degree views—a dream for expedition passagemaking. At anchor, this versatile space doubles as a stylish lounge, with abundant storage, refrigeration, and comfortable seating for relaxation or entertaining. Adding to its unique appeal, the Whaleback is the only Krogen 48 design to feature a Portuguese bridge, offering an extra layer of safety and peace of mind.
